About NewSpaceWays

Our Company

NewSpaceWays was founded in 2020 by Ana Martinez, who spent almost 10 years at SpaceX working on many of the company’s seminal proposals, including the $3.9-billion Commercial Crew win; SpaceX’s first-ever Space Force and National Security Space Launch (NSSL) contracts; the $14-billion Commercial Resupply Services 2 (CRS-2) award; and the initial $2.9-billion Human Landing System program.

NewSpaceWays specializes in preparing winning proposals for startups and small businesses in aerospace and transportation. We design tools and processes specific to your organization that you can leverage time and again, whether you hire us again or not.

Our favorite type of team to support is a tight-knit one with an ambitious project and a crystal-clear vision.

Our Founder

Prior to SpaceX, Ana Martinez was a translator. She’s also a trained journalist. After more than 15 years, she still holds the record for most consistently making the nightly publication deadline in her old newsroom. She’s been told she has the memory of an elephant. And one time, a former NASA astronaut and colleague said that even by SpaceX standards, she works really hard.

Ana is highly skilled at making order out of chaos, asking subject matter experts “why” without making them mad, and turning people’s chicken scratch into contract-winning prose.

Ana is intentionally lean in her approach. This means she understands the proposal process and compliance but is also adept at using 21st century tools and platforms instead of just doing things the way old aerospace has been teaching for 40+ years.
